Was established in 1962 just a year after the establishment
of the University of North Bengal which it is affiliated to. It started its onward journey with just a handful of students with a missionary look of bringing commerce studies to the aspirants living in this part of West Bengal
hitherto remaining obscure in thi
ambience of higher education. Siliguri, as we know, has been having the
accelerated advancement in all dimensions
including that in academics and Siliguri College of Commerce has made a distinctive mark in the academic and co-academic curricula with all potentials of a centre of excellence. It is now a premier institution
based on perfect attainment of students in university examinations over the years. It is a co-educational degree college with
evening faculty of commerce only with an inmaculate goal of furthering the cause
of students in their pursuit of learning in all parameters. The College has
national linkage with the Indian Commerce Association (New Delhi) and international
linkage with the International Agency for ISBN (Berlin). Moreover, the College has a fully
computerised (with multiple tele facilities) UGC Network Resource Centre.
